Vertical pivot point
In an attempt to precisely locate a control arm's pivot point to the chassis, many vehicle manufacturers have begun to use a vertical pivot bushing. While this OE bushing has many benefits in locations precision, it also has a numerous weakness which has led to early failures. We at DST would like to introduce you to the DuroBall suspension bushings, SuperPro's answer to the faulty OE vertical pivot bushing.
SuperPro has engineered this unique bushing to improve the OE bushing and deliver precise steering and handling. Utilizing a metal and polyurethane hybrid design, the DuroBall bushing adds the strength and dependability needed for this demanding application.
Greater durability and longer service life
SuperPro's unique bushing combines the core strength of their polyurethane blend with a specialized metal ball joint. This design delivers all of the articulation benefits of a vertical pivot bushing with a greater durability and longer service life. Under the polyurethane boot, which is used to seal in grease and keep out contaminants, is the metal ball joint. This ball joint rotates in the bushing allowing the suspension to move in a way the OE bushing does not.
Need some extra positive caster
The DuroBall line of bushings also includes a version to add extra positive caster. Like this bushing here, the ball joint is offset from center, giving your control arm extra positive caster. With this extra caster, your handling around corners will be even more precise giving you better time in and out of the corner.
